Born to the family of Michael Monye, Uche Esther Monye, popularly known as UchEmonye took interest in music at the age of 12. With a later attraction to the bass guitar, she became the first female bass player in her city of birth, Benin.
Uche served as a backup singner under the simply worship team and the Nusong led by Victor Atenaga and the US based Osene Ighodaro respectively.
In 2010, she released her first single, I remember and a year later Heaven
The songstress was the first runner-up of the maiden edition of the CGMi GOT TALENT and has served as judge for many other talent shows.
UchEmonye holds a B.A in Music and the award of VOICE OF THE YEAR both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Driven by purpose, the Deltan born is the founder of UMMA (Uche Monye Music and Artistry) a conglomerate of art related fields with arms such as Voice Care, Artiste Corner; an online training programme for Artistes who desire to do and be better in their fields where she serves as the Chief educator.
The gifted lyricist and song writer has to her credits successful singles like Na You, Yahweh, I Pass them and FellowMan
This true and energetic worshiper has a voice heaven and earth recognizes and she is a mighty force to reckon with. With her 2017 debut album GraceLand still touching and changing lives across the nation, her newest single Fellowman has made rounds and rounds of air plays and is fast becoming an anthem in the mouths and hearts of worshipers.
